Style expert Tim Gunn will be making an appearance in Chicago during his Spring Style Tour. He will be appearing at the Kate Spade store at 56 E. Oak St. from 4-6 p.m. today.
On his tour, Gunn has been giving advice to women on how to accessorize their outfits. Using only a few items of clothing, such as plain shirts with jeans or a simple black dress, Gunn will be demonstrating how accessories can make even the simplest outfit look fabulous.
Not only that, Gunn will be showcasing some of his favorite accessories from Kate Spade’s Spring 2009 line that will be sure to entice some spring spending amongst visitors.
As for Chicago, Gunn believes that the city has what it takes to be a fashion capital alongside New York and L.A. Infact–Gunn says that Chicago should be ranked above L.A. because of his love for the Magnificent Mile. According to his interview with RedEye, he absolutely can’t restrict himself when it comes to Michigan Ave.
Gunn is most famous for his role on Bravo’s “Project Runway” as a style consultant and host, alongside Heidi Klum. He also debuted his own show “Tim Gunn’s Guide to Style” that rescues fashion-helpless New Yorkers and gives them a Gunn makeover.
